Roachdale - June 6 - John Thomas Zimmerman, 71 died at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Eggers here at 1:45 o'clock this afternoon following 7 days' illness. He suffered a stroke of paralysis. Born in Virginia Jan 22, 1868, Mr. Zimmerman was the son of William and Mary Ashwell Zimmerman. He married Alice Miller who survives in 1900. He was a member of the Lebanon Methodist Church. Surviving besides the widow are two daughters, Mrs. Pearl Spitz and Mrs. Lucille Borden, both of Indianapolis, four sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Bartlett, near Advance, Mrs. anna Chambers, near Jamestown; Mrs. Rosa Riner, Indianapolis and Mrs. Emma Miller, Milwaukee and five grandchildren. Three brothers preceded him in death. Funeral services will be at Chastain Funeral Home here at 11 o'clock Tuesday monring. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday night and Tuesday morning.
