VEEDERSBURG -- George Zimmerman, 59, a former resident of Veedersburg, died at 2 p.m. Saturday in a hospital at South Bend. He had been in failing health a year. A son of Robert and Margaret Bowles Zimmerman, he was born Nov. 27, 1909 at Veedersburg. He was married to Georgia McLain, who survives. For the past 30 years Mr. Zimmerman had made his home in Buchanan, Mich., where he was employed as a welder by Clark Equipment Co. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Lyndon Jones of Elkhart, and six sisters, Mrs. Maude Allen, Mrs. Marie Smith, Mrs. Agnes Baldwin, Mrs. Isma Auter and Mrs. Gertrude Robinson, all of Veedersburg, and Mrs. Marjorie Moore of Angola. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Flynn Mortuary at Buchanan. Burial will be in Buchanan. --typed by Walt W
