Zackmire - Sarah Taylor Teague

Mrs. Zackmire died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Williamson in Marshall on Thursday of last week.  Funeral services were conducted at the home on Friday afternoon by Rev. Mr. Sherrill, of Bloomingdale.  Interment was at the Wolf Creek cemetery.  Mrs. Zachmire (sic) was the mother of Mrs. Alonzo G. Payne and lived for a time in the Peterman house on West Main Street, which she had purchased, until compelled by failing health to go to the house of Mrs. Williamson.

She was the daughter of William Taylor and his second wife, Martha Allen. She married twice; first to William F. Teague about 1863 and second to Daniel G. Zackmire on January 2, 1879 in Parke County, Indiana. (Book 7, p. 194)

Sarah Jane (nee Taylor) and her first husband William Teague had three children: Annie E. Teague, married Dr. Alvin A. Williamson. Mariah A. Teague married Alonzo G. Payne on 12 June 1915. Clarence Leonidas Teague married Esta Cox on 31 Dec 1914 in Parke County, Indiana. (Book 13, p. 517)
