Opal Zackmire, 89, of Veedersburg, a former resident of Yeddo, died at 9:15 a.m Tuesday, April 16 1985, at Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville. She lived most of her life in the Wallace community. She was a member of the Yeddo Baptist church. She was born March 15, 1896 in Millcreek township in Fountain county, the daughter of Gus and Lottie Brewer Woodrow. She married Lonnie Zackmire Oct 23, 1915. He died May 17 1949. Survivors include a daughter Mrs. Franklin (Mabel) Corey, Perrysville; and several nieces and nephews. She also was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today (Friday) at Thomas Funeral Home in Waynetown. The Rev. David Nichols will officiate. Burial will be in Zackmire Cemetery southwest of Wallace. Friends may call at the funeral home an hour before services.
