Funeral services for James Luther Zackmire were held at the Fishero Funeral home in Veedersburg Monday afternoon with Rev. Shrigley in charge. Mr. Z. died at Culver hospital, Saturday, March 26. He was born Sept 14, 1898 in Jackson Twp, the son of William and Abigail Day Zackmire. Mr. Z. is survived by one son, James William, two brothers, John V. of Lafayette and Pearl, of Kingman and four sisters, Mrs. Lulu Bryant of Hammond; Mrs. Celia Gregory, of Lebanon; Mrs Ruby Joyce of Denver, CO; and Mrs. Kate Shanks of Indianapolis. Interment was made in Zackmire Cemetery near Wallace. - transcribed by kbz

Funeral services for James Arthur Zackmire, 50, who died Saturday in Culver Hospital, Crawfordsville, were at 2 p.m. Monday at the Fishero Funeral Home, Veedersburg. The Rev. Mr. Shrigley of Kingman officiated and burial was in Zackmire Cemetery.
Mr. Zackmire was born Sept. 14, 1898 in Jackson Township, son of William and Abigail Day Zackmire. He is survived by a son, James William; two brothers, John, Lafayette and Pearl, Kingman; and four sisters, Mrs. Lulu Bryant, Hammond, Ind., Mrs. Celia Gregory, Lebanon, Ind., Mrs. Ruby Joyce, Denver, Colo., and Mrs. Kate Shanks, Indianapolis. – S&E
