Whitesville - Samuel M. Zachery, 90, one of the oldest residents of the county died at his home in Whitesville Friday morning at 2:30 o'clock. Born in this county on May 3, 1851 he was the son of Elijah and Elizabeth Zachary. He was married first to Ella Misner who died in 1876. Four children were born of which three died in infancy. The fourth, Sherman resides in Whitesville He was married #2 1878 Elizabeth McMuray whose death occured in 1910. They were the parents of 4 children, one of whom died in infancy. Another, Walter died in 1940 and the other two Herbert and Herman live in Whitesville. He was married a third time in 1914 to Mollie Grooms who survives. In additon to the wife and three sons, survivors include 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and two stepdaughters. Funeral services held at Whitesville Christian Church Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock with Rev. CL Airhart of New Market in charge. Burial in the Masonic Cemetery. The body will lay in state for one hour preceding the service. Friends may pay their respects at the home in Whitesville at any time Saturday or Sunday morning.
