Samuel Marion Zachary, 90, died at 4:45 p. m. Sunday in Westbrook Nursing Home. He had been in failing health the past year. He was born Nov 15, 1870 in Montgomery County. He was married to Sarah Brown who died 23 years ago. Mr. Zachary was a member of the EUB Church. He farmed in Montgomery and Tippecanoe counties all of his life. Surviving are two sons, Lawrence W. Zachary of Crawfordsville and Dr. Alvin D. Zachary of Indianapolis; four daughters, Mrs. Earl Wilson of New Ross; Mrs. Burdin Layden of Lafayette; Mrs. Harold Deboy of Hobart and Mrs. Earl Kennell of Indianpaolis; 13 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. The body was taken to Hunt & Son Funeral Home. Funeral services are pending.

Mr. and Mrs. Sam Zachary and family, six miles northwest of this city very pleasantly entertained at a Thanksgiving dinner Thursday. There were plates laid for 26. While the men spent the morning in hunting, the good ladies got dinner. The younger tots had a fine time playing games and swining. They all left at a late hour in the afternoon hoping to meet again next Thanksgiving. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Joe GIllis and family, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Pittman and family, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Robinson and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Wilson and son, Ion Robinson and Clifford Pittman.

Mrs. Zachery (sic) and daughters of Waynetown were here this morning, en route to Lafayette where they will be guests of Mrs. William Brown.
