Mrs. Mae E. Zachary, 72, lifelong resident of the city, died at 7:15 a.m. Thursday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Frances Summers, 515 Allen St. Born June 10, 1893, in this city, she was the daughter of Thomas and Molly Biddle West. She was first married to Fred Cronk in 1914. Following his death, she was married to Everett Zachary in 1928. She was a member of the First Christian Church. The survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Summers, at whose home she died, Mrs. Jessie Fairfield of this city and Mrs. Gladys Boes of Lafayette; a brother, George West of Crawfordsville; 15 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Anna Ross and Mrs. Georgia Young, both of Lafayette, are step-daughters. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Hunt & Son Funeral Home. Friends may call at the funeral home after 1 p.m. Friday. - transcribed by kbz
