Mrs Laura Maye Zachary, 77 of 313 Louise Ave, died at 4 p.m. Friday at Carman Nursing Home after an extended illness. Mrs. Zachary was a member of the First Nazarene Church. She was born in Boone County Dec 30, 1890, a daughter of John M. and Mary (Whiteman) Meek. She married Edgar J. Zachary Oct 31, 1907. He died in 1957. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Raymond (Eileen) Vice of Crawfordsville; a son, Jesse M. of Crawfordsville; two sisters, Mrs. George (Edna) Canada of Ladoga and Mrs. Floyd (Anna) Richardson of Jamestown; a brother, Charles Murray of Jamestown; 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by a son, William H. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home with Rev. WS Muir officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday.
