James F. Zachary, 61, Rt 1, Crawfordsville died at 3:25 p.m. Sunday in Culver Hospital. He had been employed at California Pellet Mill for 23 years, where he was a foreman. He served in the US Army during WWII and was awared two Bronze stars and the Good Conduct Medal. He was a member of the Veteran of Foreign Wars. He was graduated from Crawfordsville High School. Born April 29, 1920, he was a son of Forest and Sally McClaren Zachary. He was married to Virginia Wills. She survives. He is survived by a son, Michael of Ladoga; three daughters, Mrs. Ross (Candace) Stadler, Jr of Chicago and Jamie and Jeannie at home, two brothers, Clyde and Lloyd of Crawfordsville; two sisters, Mrs. Bill (Esther) French of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Donald (Mildred) Stout of Brownwood, Tx; and two grandchildren. Also surviving are 5 children from a previous marriage. They include David, Mark, J. Dale, Annette and Sharon. Private family services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wed at Hunt & Son. The Rev. Phil Reynolds & J.T. Friend will officiate with interment in Indian Creek Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the fun home from 7-9 p.m Tues.
