Zachary - James Clifford

James Clifford Zachary, 50, 706 John St., died at 1 p.m. Monday in Veterans Hospital at Indianapolis. He had been in failing health a year and a half. Born July 4, 1913 at Ladoga, he was a son of Walter and Elta Stewart Zachary. He was married Sept. 24, 1952 to Mary Lee Flaurr. They were married at New Market. Mr. Zachary attended school at Parkersburg and New Market. He served in the U. S. Army three years during World War II and was wounded twice. He was a member of the VFW at Roachdale. Survivors include the widow; a son, James Lee Zachary at home; a daughter, Vicky Lynn Zachary at home; two brothers, Lester of Crawfordsville and Gerald of New Ross; and a sister, Mrs. Mary Smith of Russellville. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Powers Funeral Home here with Rev. Ray Britton officiating. Interment will be in Ladoga Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Tuesday.
