Jacob D. Zachary, 84, an employee of the old Crawfordsville Match factory for many years, died Thursday morning in Culver Hospital where he had been a patient two days. Born Dec 24, 1874 in Montgomery County, Mr. Zachary was the son of Elijah and Margaret Baldwin Zachary. He was married twice, first to Jessie Pearl Stamps. His second wife was Dolly Morgan. Both wives preceded him in death. Mr. Zachary attended the Milligan Memorial Presbyterian Church. Survivors include 3 sons: Earl & Kenneth of Crawfordsville and Robert of Fort Bragg, NC; three daughters, Helen Abney, Vivian McGaughey and Mae Morgan, also of Crawfordsville; two sisters, Mrs. Ada Chesterson and Mrs. Nettie Nichols of Crawfordsville; 18 grandchidren and 11 greats. Fun serv will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sat at the Hunt & Son Fun home with bur at Masonic Cemetery, Rev. J. Gordon Smith will be the officiating minister. Friends may call at the fun. home, beginning at noon Friday.
