Herman L. ZACHARY, 72 of Ladoga died at 12:45 a.m. today in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville. He was a retired farmer and had been an auctioneery. Mr. Zachary was a member of the Ladoga Christian Church and had been active in the Ladoga Lions club for many years. Born April 17, 1903, in Montgomery County, he was a son of Samuel and Elizabeth McMurray Zachary. He was married to Marie Higgins on Sept 18, 1923. She survives. Also surviving are two sons, Joe of Ladoga and Jerry of Traverse City MI; a brother, Herbert of Whitesville; 7 grandchildren and 4 greats. A son, Thomas, a brother, Walter and a half-brother, Sherman are deceased. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday in Perkins funeral Home with Rev. William Worrel officiating. Burial in Ladoga Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3:30 p.m. Saturday.
