Harold R. Zachary, 61, of 1014 Chapel Ave, died at 12:02 p. m. Friday in Culver Hospital. He was last employed at the hospital here, retiring 5 years ago due to ill health. Previously he was in construction work. Mr. Zachary was a son of Lee and Lula Dowden Zachary and was born March 7, 1904 near Jamestown in Hendricks County. The family moved to Crawfordsville and he attended school here. He was married Aug 7, 1954 to Pearl Etta Pointer Gowin. Mr. Zachary attended Milligan Memorial Presbyterian Church. Surviving besides his wife are a stepson, Clyde Gowin of Crawfordsville; a stepgranddaughter and step grandson, four brothers, Cleo, Jess and Fred of Crawfordsville and Gerald of Lafayette; and a sister, Mrs. Keith Hunt of Crawfordsville. He was preceded indeath by two sisters. Funeral services are announced for 2:30 p. m. Tuesday at Bright Funeral Home, Rev. OK Malone will officiate and interment will be in Masonic Cemetery .
