Funeral services for George B. Zachary who died at Benton Harbor, Mich., Saturday morning were conducted at the Proffitt and Sons funeral home Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock with the Rev. H. E. Eicker officiating. Burial was made in the Oak Hill cemetery. The Proffitt and Sons quartet sang "The Eastern Gate", "City Four Square" and "In The Garden", accompanied on the organ by Iva Reynolds. Pallbearers were: Icem Zachary, Bernard Morrison, Maurice Gill, Donald Stout, Forest Bradshaw, and Ray Zachary. Flower bearers were: Mrs. Lelah Wilson, Mrs. Mildred Stout, Mrs. Bernard Layden, Mrs. Forest Bradshaw, Mrs. John Zachary, Helen Zachary and Esther Zachary. Mr. Zachary was a native of Montgomery county and had formerly lived in Crawfordsville.
Note: George B. Zachary was the son of John Peter Zachary and Nancy Ann Eaken Zachary. He was born April 9, 1864 and died Aug 29, 1942.
