Mrs. Hezekiah Zachary died at her home on W. Main St. on Sun. evening. She had been suffering for a long time with a cancerous trouble and her death has been hourly expected for weeks. Funeral serv. at the Methodist church on Tues morning at 11, in charge of Rev. Olin Stewart. Interment at Mt. Moriah. Mrs. Elizabeth Zachary was the daughter of William and Sarah Elizabeth MURREY. She was born Oct 29, 1850 in Lincoln Co, Ky, but moved to Indiana in early life. She was married to Milton H. Zachary May 3, 1866. 48 years of her married life was spent in or near Waveland. She heard the invitation of the Master in early life and gave herself to HIs service and united with the church. It is only modest truth to say she was a consistent Christian and lived to bless mankind. She was the mother of three children. One Mary, preceded her to the better land, departing this life in 1905. She leaves to mourn their loss, a husband, one daughter, Mrs. Jesse McMains, one son, Harmon, 7 grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Polly Scaggs of Jamestown and Mrs. Alice Osbourne of Brazil, two brothers and many friends.
