Zachary - Elizabeth McMurray

Elizabeth McMurray Zachary was born January 25, 1859, died January 18, 1910. Aged 50 years, 11 months, and 24 days. She was the oldest daughter of Ephraim and Lucinda McMurray, and was married to Samuel Zachary, September 26, 1878. Of their union were born four children, the oldest dying in infancy. She was a faithful member of Mt Tabor M.E. Church since seventeen years of age. She was a devoted wife and loving mother and by her charity and helpfulness has built up a host of friends, among her neighbors and all who knew her. She leaves a grief-stricken husband, three sons, Walter, Herbert, Herman, and a step-son, Sherman; two little grandsons, a father, mother, three sisters and two brothers, besides a host of friends who mourn her loss. The funeral conducted by Rev. T. P. Woodson and Rev. Frank Blackwell, was held at Mt. Tabor M.E. Church last Wednesday at one o'clock. The church was crowded with loving friends and relatives.
