Mrs. Sarah H. YOUNT died at the home of her son, Harry on East Green St early on Sunday morning after an illness of several weeks. Funeral services at the Presbyterian Church on Tuesday afternoon were in charge of Rev. H. Ray Sigler. Mrs. Edna McNutt, Mrs. Edith Rice, Corta Dooley and Claude Lydick sang with Mrs. Burrin at the piano. The casket was borne by Ernest White, Roscoe White, John Barton, Frank Barton, Joseph Young and Robert Nichols. The flowers were carried by Mrs. Goldie Miles; Mrs. Mary Gillis; Mrs Mary Shular; Mrs. Leland Gooding, Mrs Lula Smith and Mrs. Netta Andrews. Mrs. Yount was the daughter of James (sic should be Joseph) and Clarinda Nicholson and was born in Crawfordsville July 4, 1861. She married EJ Collins in 1885 (sic -- again, this is not correct - should be 4 July 1880). To them was born one son, Mack, who now lives in Indianapolis. After the death of Mr. Collins, she married George Morton Yount in 1885 (sic - should be 20 June 1883 - he died 25 May 1931), who died several years ago. Besides the sons mentioned she is survived by two daughtesr, Mrs. Clara Barton of Jamestown and Mrs. Nettie Andrews of Crawfordsville, besides several grandchildren, she was a member of the Presbyterian church. She spent the greater part of her life in Waveland at the home in Northside and leaves many friends. - transcribed by kbz
