Yount - Martha Berkshire

Mrs. Ella Berkshire Yount, 88, native of Rising Sun, died at 7:02 o'clock Thursday night at her home 419 south Washington street, following a years illness with a complication of diseases. Mrs. Yount was born August 30, 1851, the daughter of William & Nancy Berkshire. She was married to William P. Yount, September 8, 1885 at Yountsville, Indiana. The deceased was a member of the Trinity Methodist church and the Woman's Relief Corps. Surviving are two brothers, Thomas Berkshire of north of Crawfordsville and Harry W. Berkshire of Indianapolis, and one step-son, Rev. Andrew Yount of Oxford, N.J. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the Trinity Methodist church in charge of Rev. H. Earl Moore. Burial will be made in Oak Hill cemetery. Friends may pay their respects at the Proffitt and Sons parlors until noon Sunday. The Women's relief Corps, with witch Mrs. Yount had been identified for many years, also will take part in the services at the church.
