Funeral services for Irene YOUNT who died in an automobile accident at Florence, Arizona were held Friday afternoon at the Noble Reeves Funeral Home, New Market. Rev. Lowell Morris of Waveland officiated. Burial was in Masonic Cemetery, Crawfordsville. Pallbearers who also assisted with flowers were Malcolm Scott; Bill Etter; Jack Larew; Joe Pointer; Harold Everson and George Yount.

New Market – Irene Yount, 33, a former resident of New Market died in an automobile accident Sunday afternoon at Florence, Arizona where she had lived for the past 13 years. She was born in New Market June 8, 1923, the daughter of Ernest W. and Laura French Young. She was a graduate of New Market HS and attended business school in Indianapolis. Miss Yount was a post exchange operator at Williams Air Force Base, Chandler, Ariz. Surviving are the parents; a brother, Lt. Don Allen Yount, of Griffith AFB, Rome, NY and the grandmother, Florence Yount, of New Market. The body is being brought to the Noble-Reeves Funeral Home in New Market. Funeral arrangements to be announced.
