Mrs. Susan Young of Darlington, 75 years old, became strangled and choked to death. The death occurred Monday at the home of her daughter. Mrs. Oliver Flanigan, southeast of Darlington. A portion of peach became lodged in the aged woman’s windpipe in such a manner that she was unable to breathe. She suffered extreme pain before she passed away. A physician was called from Darlington but he arrived too late to be of any service.
