Mrs. Lucille Young, 54, of 207 Woodlawn Pl., died at 5:30 a.m. Wednesday in Culver Hospital where she had been a patient the past week. She had been ill since December. Mrs. Young was a native of Veedersburg, born April 4, 1904 to Harry C. and Mattie Cheney Fishero. She attended the Veedersburg schools and was graduated from high school there in 1923. For 22 years she was employed as an operator at the Veedersburg Telephone Co. She married Walter (Dick) Young June 23, 1945. They lived in Crawfordsville the last 13 years. Mrs. Young was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a sister. She was a member of the First EUB Church of Crawfordsville, the Ma Ma Ru and Alpha Mu Music Club, Montgomery Home Demonstration Choral Society, the Veedersburg OES of which she was a past Worthy Matron and had been pianist 20 years, and of the Sunshine Society. She also was a past advisor of Rainbow. Surviving besides the husband are a brother, Thomas Fishero of Columbus, Ohio, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Veedersburg EUB Church with Rev. Bennett Fulp officiating, assisted by Rev. Samuel Pritchard. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. The body will be taken to her residence Thursday, where friends may call until 5 p.m. Friday. The body will be at the Fishero Funeral Home in Veedersburg from Friday evening until an hour prior to the services Sunday, when it will lie in state at the church.
