Ladoga - Mrs. Jean P. Young, 45, died at 9:45 a.m. Saturday in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville where she had been a patient a day. She had been ill the last 8 months. A native of Coatesville, she was born May 18, 1920 to Chauncey and the late Gladys Dean Sutherlin. She married Jack Young April 25, 1948 in Roachdale. Mrs. Young served with the WAC in WWII and was a Sgt in the European theater from September of 1943 until October of 1945. She was a member of the Ladoga Christian Church and taught the second primary class of its Sunday School. Surviving besides the husband are two daughters, Janet and Terri and three sons, Roger, Brad and Britt, all at home, the father of Roachdale; a brother, Don Sutherlin of Danville and a sister, Mrs. Harold Hubbard of Speedway. Funeral services were conducted at 2 pm. Monday at the Ladoga Christian Church with the pastor, Donald Marshall officiating. Burial in Ladoga Cemetery. -- kbz
