The sad news comes from Lafayette that J.C. Young, of the Bramble House had committed suicide by taking morphine on last Tuesday afternoon. The deceased was known in this city. He was a son-in-law of Reuben Taylor. His remains will be brought to this city at 3:40 today for interment. - transcribed by kbz
