Funeral services for Miss Nellie C. Young of 5128 Kingsley Dr, Indianapolis, formerly of Veedersburg are announced for 1:30 p.m. Monday at Flanner & Buchanan Broad Ripple Mortuary in Indianapolis.  Graveside rites will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Monday in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home in Indianapolis after 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Miss Young, a daughter of William B. and Mary Fine Young was born Feb 21, 1891 at Hillsboro. She was a graduate of Veedersburg HS in 1910 and Valparaiso University in 1919, receiving her master’s at Butler University in 1936.  She was an ordained Christian Church minister. Miss Young was a teacher and children’s education director at North Central Christian Church in Indianapolis and founded the Marion County Weekday Religious Education program for children. For years she was children’s minister and youth advisor at North Central. She was 50-yhear member of Valetta Chapter, OES at Veedersburg.  Survivors include three brothers, William Irva of Indianapolis and John R. and Walter B. of Crawfordsville, and nieces, nephews and cousins. Three sisters and two brothers preceded her in death. Miss Young died suddenly Tuesday evening after attending a club meeting at Indianapolis – kbz - thanks to the Proctors and their wonderful Waynetown Cemetery obituary database
