Dora G. Youart, 75, a retired telegraph operator, died Wednesday morning at the Liter Nursing Home here. He had been ill several months. Born Dec. 10, 1881, at Thorntown, Mr. Youart was the son of I. N. and Olive Youart. He married Maude Brenner of Thebes, Ill., where he worked as a telegraph operator before moving to Crawfordsville. His wife died in 1943 and since then he had made his home with two sisters, Mrs. Charles Smith of New Lexington, Ohio, and Mrs. Joseph Young of Crawfordsville. Mr. Youart was a member of the Clarks Hill Christian Church and a graduate of the Clarks Hill High School. He was a former member of the Masonic Lodge and White Shrine at St. Louis. Survivors include the sisters and a nephew, Eldo Young of Crawfordsville. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Bright Funeral Home, with burial at the Clarks Hill Cemetery at Clarks Hill. Rev. John R. Servies will be the officiating minister. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Thursday.
