Fred F. York, 73, who had resided at the Ramsey Hotel for th epast 10 years died early Friday morning at the Liter Nursing Home in Crawfordsville. He had been in failing health for the past two years (Burial permit states he passed from Arterior schlerotic heart). Death was due to complications.
Mr. York was born July 18, 1883 near Waynetown. Over the year he had been employed by the Home Telephone Co here and later, by Indiana Bell Telephone. He was also employed for some time at the plant of the Crawfordsville Electric Light & Power Co. He had been retired for a few years.
Mr. York has no close relatives who are survivors. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Proffitt & Sons FunerAL Home Sunday at 3 p.m. with Rev. James Carothers as the officiating minister. Burial will be made in Waynetown Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary after 4 p.m. Saturday. - kbz
