Samuel YARYAN who would have been 73 Saturday died at Robert Long Hospital where he was taken after he fell from a horse a week ago. He was born near Yountsville, and had been a resident of Waveland community for over 50 years where he followed the occupation of farmer. He was the Baptist faith. There survive the widow, the former Dora FRUITS whom he married Nov 20, 1901; 9 children; Mrs. Edith PAUGH, Huntington; Mrs. Helen RUBATTINO; Mrs. Clara BOOMER and Mrs. Elizabeth TERRY, all of Seattle, Washington; Mrs. Faye McAFEE of Indianapolis; Mrs. Edna WOODARD and Mrs. Mable POOLE both of Thornwotwn and Mrs. Doris COVAULT of Lebanon and Mrs. Flossie SPRINGER of Waynetown; 3 sons, Lee of Indianapolis; Charles of Monrovia and Max of Whitestown; a brother, Charles of Oxnord, California and a number of grandchildren and greats. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at 2 at Christian Church by Rev. Guy Tremaine. Burial in Maple Ridge Cemetery.

Saturday afternoon Oct 4 Sam Yaryan while riding his saddle horse on W. Green St rather rapidly turned it too quickly, causing it to skid and fall throwing Mr. Yaryan to the pavement where he suffered a concussion at the base of his skull. He was examined by Dr. Hendrix who ordered him taken to Culver Hospital where his condition became worse & he was consequently moved to Robert Long Hospital, Indianapolis where an operation was performed to relieve pressure at the conclussion. He remains in serious condition.
