YARGER, Susanne "Suzy" - Montgomery InGenWeb Project

Susanne “Susy” Marie Yarger, age 74, of Bloomington, Indiana passed away at Stonebridge Health Campus in Bedford on Thursday, September 7, 2023. She was born in Crawfordsville, Indiana to William “Bill” and Margaret (Dunn) McKeown on August 25, 1949. Susy attended Indiana University, and then obtained an Associate’s Degree as a member of the first nursing class to graduate from Ivy Tech Community College. She was a nurse for several years, and later worked as an eye tech for Kristina Morris at Family Eye Care in Ellettsville. Susy enjoyed basket weaving and attending NASCAR races.

Susy is survived by her husband, William Yarger, daughter, Christina Bezzy (Tony), grandchild, Amanda Shields-Panyi (Laszlo), great-grandchild, Emma Lee Panyi, brother, Kim McKeown (Marka), sisters, Judy Tulley, Dorothy Rice (Bill), and Margaret “Spootie” Howden, and God-children, Cassie Perry, Rachel Rasp, Travis Nesbitt, and Angie Slattery-Stewart.

Susy was preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter, Haley Grace Panyi, brother, Billie McKeown, and sisters, Ann McGee, Jeannie Welliever, and Mary Morrison.

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 11:30 AM on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, 4607 W. State Road 46, Bloomington, Indiana.

A Catholic Funeral Mass will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday at St. John, with a celebration of life following.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John the Apostle Catholic Church.
