Mrs. Gladys E. Zachary, 46, 400 List St., died at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Carle Clinic at Urbana, Ill. She had been ill several months. Mrs. Zachary was secretary at the Humanities Center at Wabash College prior to her illness. She was formerly a secretary at Wilson Shirt Factory. She was a member of the New Market Christian Church and was active in church work. She served several Years as a Sunday school teacher. She was a 1944 graduate of Wingate High School. Mrs. Zachary was born June 10, 1926, a daughter of Jacob and Zetta Herron Bunnell, Rt. 4. She was married to Lloyd L. Zachary on March 16, 1946. Surviving with the husband and parents are three daughters, Mrs. Karen Franklin of Rt. 2, Crawfordsville, Mrs. Melinda Sutherlin of West Lafayette and Tamara Zachary, at home; two sons, Jeffery and Christopher, at home; five sisters, Mrs. Frances Ziegler of Rt. 3, Veedersburg, Mrs. Ava Hinds, Rt. 5, Crawfordsville, Mrs. Judith Cope of Rt. 2, Crawfordsville, Mrs. Irene Sablic of Fort Wayne, and Mrs. Aurilla Brewer of Rt. 2, Ladoga; two grandchildren, and several relatives in the area. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Servies-Thomas Funeral Home at Waynetown with the Rev. William Schalk, the Rev. Verlin Smith and the Rev. Larry Clodfelter officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, north of Elmdale. Friends may call at the funeral home at 2 p.m. Friday. – jlr
