WEST LEBANON, Ind.
(CNS) – Ralph Youngblood, 68, of Williamsport Route 2, died at 7:30 p.m.
Thursday (Feb. 28, 1974) at the Hoopeston Commuity Memorial Hospital, He had
been a patient for eight days. Born Oct. 5, 1905, in Glencoe, Minn., he was the
son of William and Bessie Peterson Younglblood. On Oct. 1, 1926, at Danville,
he married Vivian (Virginia) Biteler, who survives. He had resided in Rossville
and Tab areas before moving to Williamsport Route 2 in 1947. A farmer until
1960, he then worked for the Hoosier Acquisition Co. for four years and was an
assistant for Indiana State Highway Department for four years. He retired in
1972. A member of the West Lebanon Christian Church, he was a past board
member, deacon and trustee. He was a 50-year member of Modern Woodman Lodge and
was a member of the Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis, Order of Eastern Star
Chapter 162 of West Lebanon and Masonic Lodge 352 F and AM of West Lebanon.
Survivors include three sons, Lyle Franklin of Danville, Don Eugene of Covington
and Carl Lew of Williamsport Route 2; two daughters, Mrs. Lynn (Iris) Richey of
Boswell Route 1 and Mrs. John (Carol) Wills of West Lebanon Route 1; four
sisters, Mrs. Blanche Van Zandt of Danville, Mrs. Mable Young of Cissna Park,
Mrs. Dorothy Richards of Hoopeston and Mrs. June Neathery of Lafayette a
brother, Philip of California; and 14 grandchildren. – jlr
