Nina Johnson Wyatt, daughter of Otis & Alma Johnson, was born April 17, 1913 at Crawfordsville and departed this life April 22, age 17 years and 5 days. She lived in Crawfordsville until the age of 5 years, 6 months, at which time she came to Indianapolis, to make her home with Mr. and Mrs. JL Carrington, who reared and loved her as their daughter. She attended the Fleming Garden Grade School from which she graduated in 1938 and entered Ben Davis High School. At the age of 8 she united with the Lynnhurst Baptist Church and later moved her membership to Fleming Garden Christian Church of which she remained an active member until death. On April 17, 1929, she was united in marriage to Deming Wyatt, whom she leaves after one short happy year of devotion to each other. Besides her husband she leaves her father, mother, four half sisters, two half brothers, foster parents, M/M JL Carrington, and many other relatives and friends, among which was her life long friend, Miss Sallie Galey, who was a member of the Carrington household, as well. Nina was loyal to her church, her school and her community, all of which will miss her presence and regret her untimely death.
