Wright - Mollie Francis
Source: Crawfordsville Daily Journal Friday, 6 May 1892
Some three weeks ago Mr. Wright and wife sold their farm in Iowa and arrived in Wingate to visit relatives, Mrs. Wright having been before marriage a Miss Mollie Francis. About two weeks ago Mr. Wright left to look up a location. Of course he was constantly on the move and had no post office. A day or so after her husband left, Mrs. Wright was taken very ill and continued to grow worse. Telegrams were sent in all directions but failed to reach Mr. Wright. The first of the week she died. Yesterday morning about an hour before the funeral, the door opened and Mr. Wright entered and laughingly inquired for his wife. His grief upon being appraised of her death was terrible and the shock has well nigh driven him wild. The case is a most sad one as the couple had been married only two years and he had left her in perfect health. -s
