Special to the Journal - Darlington, Feb 17 -- John C. Worth, Civil War veteran died at his home in the south section of this place at 4:20 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, following a second stroke of paralysis. Mr. Worth was born near Lebanon May 8, 1845, and followed the occupation of a farmer all his life. When the Civil War broke out he enlisted in Company C, 120th Regiment under Captain Barcus of Linden and served with credit during the great conflict. The remains will be removed to the home of his son, William Worth at Clark's Hill where the funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock on Thursday afternoon. He is survived by his son, William Worth and by a daughter, Mrs. Alice Apple, also of Clark's Hill and by a stepson, Roy White. - kbz
