Waynetown, Ind. (CNS) —Calvin Work, 93, a retired farmer, died at 1:20 p.m. Tuesday (Nov. 8, 1966) at Culver Hospital. He had been a patient there since Oct. 1. Born Jan. 20, 1873 in Wayne Township, he had farmed all his life and had lived at his last home 54 years. He married Ida Stonebraker at Crawfordsville May 29, 1901 and she died in 1965. He was a member of the Waynetown Christian Church and a 50-year member of the Waynetown Knights of Pythias Lodge. He had resided with his son-in-law, Henry Wood, since the death of his wife. Survivors include Wood; a granddaughter, Mrs. Robert Booher of Clarks Hill Route 1; two great-grandchildren, Daniel Booher, a student at Indiana State and Penelope Booher of Clarks Hill; a niece and a nephew. He also was preceded in death by a daughter, Ruth Wood; a grandson, Wilbur Wood who was killed in War II, and two brothers. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Servies Funeral Home here. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call after 3 today.

Funeral services for Calvin Work were held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Servies Funeral Home with Rev. Morris Finch officiating. Organ music played by Mrs. Mary Mullen included special numbers: When they ring the golden bells and Beyond the Sunset. Pallbearers who also assisted with flowers were: Darrell Jones; Ray Thompson, Clarence Rusk, Lee Ellis, Hubert Turner and Floyd Suitors. Burial was in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Calvin Work was born in Wayne Township, Montgomery County Jan 20, 1873, son of Robert and Angeline Fletcher Work. He married Ida Stonebraker May 29, 1901 in Crawfordsville. He passed away at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday Nov 8 at Culver Hospital where he was taken on Oct. 1. He was a member of the Waynetown Christian Church and 50 year member of the Waynetown Knights of Pythias Lodge. He had been a farmer all his life having lived on the present homestead 54 years. Since the death of his wife in 1965 he had made his home wth his son-in-law, Henry Wood, who survives. Other survivors are granddaughter, Mrs. Robert Booher, Clarks Hill RR 1, two great grandchildren, Daniel Booher, student at Indiana State University and Penelope Booher ofClarks Hill, 1 niece, Mrs. Don Clark, Darlington RR 1 and 1 nephew, Albert Work of Florida. He was preceded in death by his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Ruth Wood, one grandson, Wilbur Wood in WWII and two brothers, Clayton and Howard Work - kbz
