Second Lt. [2Lt] John W. WOODROW of local basketball fame and a former Wabash College student, was killed in a plane that crashed on a training flight near Westfield, Mass. Six other fliers were killed at the same time. At the time the family lived in Waveland the father was an engineer at the Shades CCC Camp.
