Darlington – Mrs. Pearl A. Woodard, 84 of Darlington died Friday afternoon in the Westbrook Nursing Home in Crawfordsville. She was a native of Brown County born Dec 15, 179 to Charles and Laurena Potter Grant. She married Austin Woodard in 1900 and they moved to Thorntown. After her husband’s death in 1918, Mrs. Wood moved to Lafayette. She has made her home with a brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Harry L. Hiatt in Darlington the last four years. Mrs. Woodard was a member of the Thorntown Methodist Church. Preceding her in death were two brothers, and two sisters, Mrs. Virdie Higer of Colfax; Mrs. Lula Rothenburger of Dayton, Ind and Mrs. Hiatt. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Bright Funeral Home here with Rev. AC Vermillian officiating and burial in Johnson Cemetery at Stockwell. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. - KZ

Darlington – Funeral rites for Mrs. Pearl A. Woodard were held Tuesday afternoon at Bright Funeral Home in Darlington. Rev. AL Vermillion officiated and Curtis E. Bright played organ selections. Cecil Gordon of Lafayette, Noble Higer of Colfax, Donald Hiatt of Indianapolis, David Johnson of Crawfordsville and Lester Hole and Harry Hiatt of Darlington were pallbearers and assisted with the flowers. Burial was in the Johnson Cemetery at Stockwell. – KBZ
