Wood - Ruth Work

Waynetown - Mrs. Ruth Work Wood, 58, died at her home south of Waynetown at 5 a.m. Monday. She had spent her entire life in the Waynetown community. Mrs. Wood had been ill for the past 20 years and had been seriously ill for 11 years. She was born June 12, 1904, the daughter of Cal and Ida Stonebraker Work and was married to Henry Wood on July 5, 1921. She was a member of the Waynetown Christian Church, and graduated from Waynetown High School. Survivors besides her husband and her parents include a daughter, Mrs. Robert Booher of Clarks Hill; a grandson, David Bruce Booher; a granddaughter, Penelope Sue Booher; an aunt, Mrs. Mary Ford, Crawfordsville, and an uncle, Clayton Work, Hillsboro. She was preceded in death by a son, Wilbur, who died in 1944, and a grandson, Jerry Booher, who died in 1952. Friends may call at the Servies Funeral Home in Waynetown after 2 p.m. Tuesday. The funeral will be at the funeral home at 2 p.m. Wednesday, and burial will be in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
