Waynetown - Mrs. Emma Wood, 61, resident of this place for many years, died at the home of her son, Forest Wood, in South Bend, early Saturday morning. Mrs. Wood who had been in ill health for 7 years, went to the home of her son shortly after Chritmas. She suffered a stroke of paralysis on January 7 and failed to rally from it. Mrs. Wood was born near Hillsboro in Fountain County June 22, 1873 the daughter of David and Maria Bever Myer(s). She was married to Charles Wood who preceded her in death by 10 years. She was a member of the Prarie Chapel Church south of Hillsboro. The survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Virgie Grenard of Waynetown and Mrs. Florence Shade of Hillsboro; four sons, Henry Wood of Waynetown; Gerald Wood of Warsaw; Marvin Wood of Plymouth and Forest of South Bend; four sisters, Mrs. E.E. Livegood; Mrs. John Harper and Mrs. Ellen Long all of Waynetown; and Mrs. Alice Raymond of Dayton, FL; 3 brothers, Howard and Harry Myer of Waynetown and Henry Myer of Hillsboro and a number of grandchildren. The body was brought to the home of Mrs. Grenard just north of Waynetown this morning. The funeral services will be announced later. --kbz
