Wolever - S. S

A letter From Mrs. C. F. Crowder, of Seattle, Wash., states that her father, S. S. Wolever, is dead. She says: "My father, S. S. Wolever, passed away June 18, and was buried at his old home, Layfayette, Ore, June 20. He had celebrated his 90th birthday on May 7, and had been in his usual good health until just before his death. There may be some who will remember him as a resident of Waveland 60 years ago. He came to Oregon in 1884." Mr. Wolever will be remembered by a few of our older citizens. He was a shoemaker by trade. -- kbz
