New Market, March 28 -Funeral services for Mrs. Lydia Wright who died at the home of
her daughter, Mrs. Walter VanCleave in Chrisman, Ill., Thursday
afternoon were held from the local M.E. Church Saturday morning
at 10:30 o'clock in charge of Rev. J.B. Johnson of Waveland, with
interment at the Harshbarger Cemetery, near Ladoga. Mrs. Wright
lived one mile east of New Market for a number of years and was a
devout Christian woman, being a member of the Methodist Church
here. Her husband, James Wright, preceeded her in death a few
years ago. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Walter VanCleave
of Chrisman, Ill., with whom she resided; two sons, William of
Bloomington and John of Crawfordsville. H.M. Derby. Clara Derby,
Walter Pinkley and Sarah Yount sang "Beautiful Isles," "Abide
With Me" and "Asleep in Jesus." Pallbearers were William Buser,
Edward Groves, Emmons Douglas, William Busenbark, Charles Keys
and Roy VanCleave. The flower girls were Mrs. Maude Douglas, Mrs.
Maude Martin, Mrs. Leona Groves, Mrs. Kathryn VanCleave and Miss
