CATES—Albert Thomas Witsman, 72, life resident of Cates, died at 4 p.m. Monday at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, Ill., where he had been a patient for six days. He was born July 17, 1894 in Fulton Township, Fountain County, a son of Henry C. and Sarah Abernathy Witsman. Mr. Witsman was never married. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Catherine Purple of Covington, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four sisters, a brother and three half-sisters. Mr. Witsman was a World War I Army veteran. He was missing in action for a time while fighting in Germany. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Thursday at Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home in Covington with Rev. E. V. Wamsley officiating. Burial will be in Coal Creek Cemetery. Friends may pay respects at the funeral home in Covington Wednesday afternoon and evening. -- typed by Walt W
