WINKLER, Ella Kaul

Veedersburg – Mrs. Ella Winkler, age 85, a former resident of Veedersburg died at 1 a.m. Sunday April 5 at the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Belleville, Ill.  She had been a patient there three weeks and had been ill several years.  She had resided for the past four years with a daughter, Mrs. Isabella Brose of New Memphis, Ill.  Mrs. Winkler was born March 29, 1885 at Madison, Neb the daughter of Karl and Elbertina Lee Kaul.  She was married Dec 29, 1905 to Herman Winkler who preceded her in death March 18, 1960.  Mrs. Winkler and her husband moved to Veedersburg in June 1915.  She was a m ember of the Lutheran Church and a 50 year member of the Order of Eastern Star.  Survivors include three daughters: Mrs. Brose, Mrs. Evelyn Jean of Attica and Mrs. Marine Blair of Veedersburg.  Five sisters: Mrs. Minnie McCrimmon of ElMonte, Calif; Mrs. Viola Klone of Los Angeles; Mrs. Dorothea Preuss of Beemer, Neb; Mrs. Irene Cull of Tekamah Neb and Mrs. Antonia McGray of Ingelwood, Calif; 8 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.  Funeral services were held at 2 p.m.. today April 8 at the Fishero Funeral Home here.  Bill Keller officiated and burial was in the Waynetown Cemetery.   ~~~Transcribed and Typed by kbz
