A 17-year-old Rockville HS senior girl, Miss Carole Jane WIMMER, died unexpectedly at the home of friends early Sunday morning. As late as Wednesday cause of her death had not been officially reported. Parke County Coroner Basil M. Merrell has been out of town attending a medical meeting. However, it was reported that an autopsy was being made. Miss Wimmer was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Perry Wimmer who had just recently moved to Denver, Colorado. The young woman was staying with the Sid Jacks family in order to complete her final years in high school. She reportedly became ill about 6 o'clock Sunday morning while still in bed and was pronounced dead a short time later when doctors arrived at the home. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Rockville Christian Church with Rev. EM Gallagher and Rev Donald Gee officiating. Burial in Memory Garden Cemetery. She was a member of the Order of Rainbow and Rockville Christian Church. Besides her parents, Miss Wimmer is survived by three sisters: Marilyn, Ann and Barbara of Denver; and her grandparents, Ray Hesler of Indianapolis and Mable Hesler of Lafayette.- kbz
