Moses F. Wilson died suddenly at 3:30 o’clock Sunday afternoon while sitting iu his easy chair at his home at 2G40 Kossuth street, Lafayette, his death being due to heart disease though for years he had suffered from asthma and a nervous disorder. Mr. Wilson was nearly 82 years of age, having been born in the south part of Fountain county, September 28, 1830. After his marriage he settled on his own farm northwest of New Richmond and where he continued to make his home for 45 years, leaving the old home only Thursday of last week with his family to move to Lafayette. Besides his widow Mr. Wilson is survived by two daughters, Mies Emma Retta Wilson, who lived at home, and Mrs. James R. Miller of Alamo. Mr. Wilson was one of four brothers, only one of whom, Stephen L. Wilson of New Richmond, is still living. A singular coincident in the death of the three brothers, neither of them died in bed, two of them passed away as they sat in their chairs while the third was killed by lightning in an open field. Mr. Wilson had been a member of the Methodist church for 6O years. He was a man of splendid character and a good citizen. The funeral occurred from the Sugar Grove Methodist church on Tuesday morning at 10 o’clock, followed by interment in the Sugar Grove cemetery.
