Emerson B. Wilson, 88, Montgomery county farmer, died early Wednesday morning at his home three miles west of Crawfordsville. He had been seriously ill since suffering a stroke of paralysis five weeks ago. Born March 31, 1858, near Mace, Mr. Wilson was the son of Lewis and Elizabeth Morris Wilson, pioneer Indiana couple. He married Hattie A. Miller at Waynetown, Feb. 5, 1880. He was a member of the Christian Union church and had devoted most of his life to farming. He was the last of a family of 10 children. Surviving ate the widow, six children, Mrs. Edna Ball of this city, Raymond Wilson , of Princeton, Alvin Wilson, of near Crawfordsville, Earl Wilson, of Crawfordsville, Ralph Wilson of this city, and Miss Ruth Wilson, at home, 14 grandchildren, and 30 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by three children, who died in infancy. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Proffitt and Sons mortuary, with burial at Wesley cemetery. Friends may pay their respects at teh funeral home as the body will be kept there preceding the rites. The Rev. Eddie Bamish will be officiating minister, with the Rev. Grant Barton assisting.
