Mrs. Amelia Willis died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. William Lyons at this place at 8 o'clock this morning. She had been in poor health for several years but her condition had only been of a serious nature recently. She was 74 years of ago. Some time ago she spent several months with her daughter in Covington. She returned here about six weeks ago. Her husband died several yeares ago. She is survived by 4 daughters: Mrs. John DeHaven, Covington; Mrs. Dan Foxworthy, Mrs. William Lyons and Mrs. Amelia Willis (sic) of Hillsboro. The funeral arragnements have not been made yet.

Hillsboro, April 2 - Mrs. Amelia WIllis, aged 80, is dead at the home of her son-in-law, Wm. M. Lyons. Mrs. Willis had been in failing health for some time due to her advanced age, but it was only the last few days
that her death was considered near, and when it became known Saturday morning that she had passed away, it came as very unexpected news to the most of town's people. She is survived by one son, Charles Willis of Hillsboro and three daughters, Mrs. DeHaven of Covington; Mrs. Will Lyons and Miss Amelia Willis of Hillsboro, besides a host of friends and other relatives --- kbz
