James Hugh Williamson departed this life at Culver union hospital Friday afternoon.
Mr. Williamson, a former resident of this city, was born April 4, 1877, at Action, Ind., graduated at the Thorntown high school and was a student at Wabash College for four years, after which he entered the newspaper business, having served on the Indianapolis Sentinel, Arkansas Gazette of Little Rock, Inter Mountain Republicans at Salt Lake City, Utah, Times Picayune of New Orleans and the Commercial Tribune of Cincinnati.
About four months ago, due to heart trouble he broke health and two weeks ago he came to Crawfordsville to rest at the home of his brother. Shortly after his arrival he became worse, and death followed.
He is survived by his wife, his mother, Mrs. James Williamson, and three brothers, William and Robert of Indianapolis, and Louis H. Williamson of this city. He was a member of the Masonic lodge and the Kappa Sigma fraternity. Interment will be in Oak Hill cemetery. Funeral private. - kim h
