Funeral services on Wednesday afternoon were in charge of Rev.  EE Moorman of Indianapolis. The casket was carried by Clarence  Milligan; AC Deere, Parke White; John Gilliand; Raymond Greve and  Guy Durham. The flowers were borne by Mesdames Loudermill; TN  Johnson; TS Banta; Clarence Milligan; Charles M. Moore; Miss  Virginia Banta; Mrs. Rosie Spencer; Mrs. Fred Belles and Mrs.  Edna Scribner sang, with Mrs. Floyd Gardener at the piano. Burial  in Maple Ridge. America, youngest daughter of Asa and Catherine  Sears CARRINGTON was born March 26, 1863 in the old log house  that still stands on the Sam Grimes farm near Browns Valley and  died March 28 at the age of 74 years and 2 days. She is survived  by her daughters, Mrs. Emmett Perkins of Indianapolis; Mrs.  Raymond Sharp of Waveland and Mrs. Charles Spencer of Ladoga. Two  brothers, James Carrington, Kansas City, KS and John H.  Carrington of Danville, Ill. Four grandchildren, Kenard Perkins  of Elkhart; Constance Stucky, Indianapolis, Floyd Sharp,  Indianapolis and Wilmer Sharp, Waveland. One great grandson,  Roger Allen Perkins, son of Kennard Perkins, many nieces and  nephews and a host of friends. One grand daugther, Thelma Spencer  died May 1920. Three brothers, Alex, Milton and Sandford  Carrington and three sisters, Bettie Glover; Mary Jane Leaton and  Nancy Willoughby Canine have gone on before. - transcribed by kbz
