William Guy Williams, 75, 606 S. Water St. retired post office employee, died at 8:30 a.m. Friday in Culver Hospital where he had been a patient since Sunday. He retired from the postal service in 1956. At one time he was assistant postmaster and at other times served as a rural carrier and a clerk. He was born May 10, 1889, near Waynetown, the son of Albert Jackson and Sarah Caroline Parks Williams. He was first married in 1907 to Goldie Agnes Ervin. In 1922 he was married to Belva Harper, who died in 1949. His marriage to Mae Wasson took place in 1950. He attended school at Alamo and Crawfordsville. He is a member of the First Christian Church, Masonic Lodge No. 50, Order of the Eastern Star and the American Legion. During World War I he served in the U. S. Army. The survivors include the wife; a son, Charles Herschel Williams of Wall Lake, Mich.; three sisters, Mrs. Clee Straughn of Indianapolis, Mrs. R. S. Brothers of Washington D.C. and Mrs. O. R. Hall of College Park, Mich.; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. One grandchild preceded him in death. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home with Rev. John R. Servies and Rev. Howard F. Miller in charge. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Saturday. Masonic services will be held at the funeral home Sunday evening. – jlr
